I was born in Lebanon, raised in several countries, and recently moved to Berlin, Germany after eight wonderful years in Singapore.

I started my writing career with Sensitive and Extraordinary Kids, a blog
about the joys and challenges of parenting a highly sensitive child, and two self-published picture books for highly sensitive children which have been recommended by Dr. Elaine Aron and Dr. Ted Zeff. I was later fortunate enough to work with Marshall Cavendish, Penguin Random House SEA, and Chronicle Books.

In my years as an author, I have had the pleasure of working with Barbara Moxham who has completed my stories with her gorgeous art. I just love her to bits. You can read more about our partnership here.

I am a strong believer in the power children’s books have in shaping societies by nurturing empathy and kindness in young people, and I find the work book creators and publishers do crucial in paving the way for a better tomorrow. There is nothing I enjoy more than playing with words to create a compelling and powerful story, and I am grateful I get to do that as an author, a critique partner, and a freelance editor.

Believe it or not, this is the best headshot picture I have. I am just not very good at having my photo taken (but I do enjoy a good laugh).
